374Water Secures Minnesota PFAS Remediation Grant and Appoints Finance Veteran to Board
374Water has won a State of Minnesota Waste Destruction Services project funded by LCCMR and ENRTF to deploy its mobile AirSCWO 1 System for PFAS elimination in City of St. Cloud biosolids, slated to start April 2026. The company also named CPA Charles Weiser to its board to bolster commercialization and financial strategy.
1. Minnesota Funds Waste Destruction Services Project for PFAS Elimination
374Water Inc. announced it has secured state funding through the Legislative-Citizen Commission on Minnesota Resources (LCCMR) and the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) to deploy its mobile AirSCWO 1 System in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The project, slated to begin in April 2026, will target elimination of PFAS in undigested and post-thermal hydrolysis digested biosolids as well as spent granular activated carbon from the city’s water treatment residuals. 374Water is collaborating with Barr Engineering Co., the University of St. Thomas, Minnesota Technical Assistance Program at the University of Minnesota, and the City of St. Cloud to measure destruction efficiency and evaluate disposal or repurposing options for treated water and solids. The award underscores Minnesota’s leadership in addressing PFAS contamination, following a landmark $850 million settlement in 2018, and positions 374Water’s AirSCWO technology for broader commercial adoption in 2026.
2. Appointment of Charles Weiser Strengthens Financial Oversight
374Water has appointed Charles Weiser, CPA, to its Board of Directors, effective December 29, 2025. Weiser brings over two decades of finance and accounting leadership, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Alonti Catering Kitchens where he oversees tax, budgeting and strategic planning. His previous roles include Managing Director at Imperial-Texas, providing global accounting consulting services, and Executive Vice President and CFO at American Green Technology. Weiser holds an MBA in Finance/Accounting and a BBA in General Business from the University of Texas at Austin and is a CPA in Texas and Florida. His addition aligns with 374Water’s governance agreement with its largest shareholder and is expected to support commercialization of AirSCWO technology and expansion of the company’s Waste Destruction Services business.
