A fall not a tumble
SPY•Notable single-stock movers
In single stock moves, Norwegian recycling technology company Tomra Systems TOM.OL is up almost 16% after both its adjusted EBITA and revenue for the second quarter came in above expectations.
Elsewhere, shares in Swedish tech company Lagercrantz Group LAGRb.ST tumbled 14% after reporting a mixed set of quarterly earnings - while the company posted a beat on revenue, it missed analyst expectations for EBITA.

Tech and semiconductors lead the declines
Looking at sectors, European tech shares are leading declines, down around 2.5%. European semiconductor shares pulled back, with shares in Dutch chipmaking equipment giant ASML ASML.AS down 4.1% and Aixtron AIXGn.DE falling over 6%.
Utilities stocks .SX6P are meanwhile the biggest gainers, up close to 1.7%.
European stocks decline, but losses are contained
Europe's STOXX 600 .STOXX is down, but unlike some indexes in Asia overnight that were hit hard by a rout in chipmakers, its decline of 0.26% seems relatively contained for now.
That holds true for other indices across the region, with the DAX .GDAXI and CAC both down around 0.4%. The FTSE meanwhile is even eking out some gains, rising 0.46%.
