ABB agreed to acquire France-based Advantics, a supplier of silicon carbide power-conversion solutions, to expand its direct-current technology portfolio.
The deal targets demand for high-efficiency DC systems in data centers, industrial microgrids, power generation, and EV charging infrastructure.
Advantics efficiency and timing
Advantics’ converter modules deliver up to 99% efficiency, supporting higher power density, resilience, and energy efficiency in DC architectures.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Closing is expected by the fourth quarter of 2026.
