Google Health Coach to use Lingo data
Abbott said Google's Health Coach will use Lingo data to provide personalized AI-driven recommendations on nutrition, activity, sleep and recovery.
Abbott and Google will also conduct what Abbott called one of the largest real-world metabolic health studies, combining glucose, wearable, laboratory and survey data.
Abbott shares rise on Google Health tie-up
Shares of medical device maker Abbott ABT.N rose 1.4% to $110.17 premarket after the company said it will integrate glucose data from its Lingo wearable with the Google Health app, allowing users to view blood sugar trends alongside other health and wellness metrics.
Lingo is Abbott's over-the-counter continuous glucose monitor for people without diabetes that helps track how food, exercise, sleep and stress affect blood sugar levels.
