Abbott flagged real-world data linking continuous glucose monitoring use to fewer deaths among Type 2 diabetes patients on basal insulin, with a 45% lower 12-month mortality risk. Abbott also plans to present an observational analysis linking Libre use to fewer hospitalizations for acute diabetes events and additional FreeDM2 trial analyses showing faster, sustained improvements in glucose control after Libre 3 initiation.
