Abbott to unveil 11 ASCO abstracts highlighting MRD sensitivity gains and low-anxiety MCED data
ABT•Abbott will present 11 abstracts at the ASCO Annual Meeting highlighting new cancer diagnostics data, including enhanced sensitivity in minimal residual disease detection for early triple-negative breast cancer from the PARTNER study. Early MCED test prospective data reveal low patient anxiety and minimal psychological burden in real-world use.
1. ASCO 2026 Presentation
Abbott will showcase 11 abstracts at the American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Meeting from May 29 to June 2, 2026, in Chicago. The presentations span Abbott’s integrated cancer diagnostics portfolio, covering screening, early detection, treatment guidance and recurrence monitoring across multiple assay platforms.
2. Enhanced MRD Findings
New data from the PARTNER study demonstrate improved sensitivity of Abbott’s Oncodetect Molecular Residual Disease test in detecting minimal residual disease in early triple-negative breast cancer patients undergoing neoadjuvant chemotherapy with or without olaparib. This enhanced detection could enable more precise treatment adjustments and better patient management.
3. Prospective MCED Test Outcomes
Early results from a multicancer early detection (MCED) prospective study show low anxiety levels and minimal psychological burden among participants using the Cancerguard MCED test in real-world settings. These findings support the test’s potential for broad screening adoption without adding patient stress.
