AbbVie studies show aesthetic treatments improve facial appearance satisfaction in GLP-1 users
ABBV•AbbVie’s Allergan Aesthetics reported improved facial appearance satisfaction in two Phase 4 studies of adults taking GLP-1 medications for weight loss. Most treatment-related adverse events were mild and nonserious.
1. Study findings
HARMONY IN DIVERSITY found that a combination of fillers, a neurotoxin and skincare significantly improved satisfaction with facial appearance, skin quality and psychosocial function. Interim results from HALO showed high satisfaction after filler treatment, including with natural-looking results. The results were presented at the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery annual meeting in San Diego, held Nov. 5-8, 2026.
