- AbCellera entered a collaboration with Vertex to discover multispecific T-cell engagers for autoimmune diseases and other conditions.
- AbCellera will lead discovery and early development using its T-cell engager platform; Vertex will fund all R&D costs.
- Vertex secured rights to develop and commercialize therapeutic multispecific antibodies from the collaboration.
Financial terms and development responsibilities
- AbCellera will receive USD 28 million upfront; eligible for milestones and tiered royalties on net sales.
- The parties may agree for AbCellera to handle cell line, process development, and clinical manufacturing through Phase 1 for selected programs.
