Volvo Cars signed on as the lead industry partner and is migrating its global Android Automotive OS development environment to Horizon.
Accenture and Google Cloud said they plan to use Volvo’s input to expand Horizon’s generative AI capabilities for automotive and industrial manufacturers.

Accenture and Alphabet’s Google Cloud partnered to roll out Horizon, an open-source platform designed to speed Android Automotive software development.
The companies said Horizon targets shorter build times, up to 9x faster virtual testing, and up to 40% lower infotainment feature development costs.
