Accor signs deal to sell 30.7% Essendi stake to Blackstone-Colony IM consortium for up to EUR 975 million
BX•Accor agreed to sell its approximately 30.7% Essendi stake to Blackstone and Colony IM for up to approximately EUR 975 million, including approximately EUR 675 million at closing and a possible EUR 300 million earn-out. Accor plans an additional EUR 500 million share buyback to return most of the proceeds to shareholders.
1. Sale terms
Accor signed a definitive agreement on July 23, 2026, to sell its approximately 30.7% stake in Essendi to Blackstone and Colony IM. The sale could bring in approximately EUR 975 million, including approximately EUR 675 million at closing and an earn-out of up to EUR 300 million.
2. Expected closing
Closing is expected in the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory and competition approvals. Accor plans an additional EUR 500 million share buyback to return most of the sale proceeds to shareholders.
