Aclarion says USPTO issues notice of allowance for lumbar disc MRS scan-prescription patent application
ACON•USPTO allowance for lumbar disc evaluation patent
Aclarion says it received a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Notice of Allowance for a U.S. patent application covering “Multi-Voxel Prescription for Lumbar Disc Evaluation.”
The claims target more precise MR spectroscopy voxel placement in lumbar discs, aiming to cut repeat scans, reduce scan time and improve reproducibility.
Intellectual property portfolio and Nociscan context
The patent would expand Aclarion’s intellectual property portfolio to more than 65 issued and pending patents worldwide.
Aclarion said Nociscan uses MR spectroscopy with AI to help identify painful lumbar discs, reporting a 97% surgical success rate when all positives are treated.
