Program builds on earlier structural results and pipeline outlook
The partnership builds on 2025 structural results for Enterococcus PolC complexes that clarified ibezapolstat’s mechanism and resistance profile.
The program aims to accelerate systemic Gram-positive agents with “gut-sparing” potential, supported by initial MRSA mouse data cited from University of Houston studies.
Ibezapolstat for C. difficile is Phase 3-ready, with the FDA signaling an NDA path based on a single Phase 3 trial plus supporting Phase 2 data.
