Aduro completes longest pilot plant run at 120 hours
ADUR•Aduro Clean Technologies completed a 120-hour NGP pilot campaign, 60% longer than its September run. Condensable hydrocarbon yield reached approximately 85%, meeting its target.
1. Pilot campaign results
The campaign processed post-consumer plastic waste containing at least 95% polyolefins for approximately 20 hours, with operators transitioning between feedstocks without a complete shutdown. Planned interruptions were followed by restoration of target conditions, while backup systems maintained operations during an unexpected utility power outage.
2. Next engineering steps
The results will inform engineering for the first-of-a-kind plant at Chemelot. Wastewater characterization will support treatment-system design and environmental permitting.
