Aduro Signs MOU for Commercial HCT Licensing Package and FOAK Plant at Chemelot
Aduro Clean Technologies signed a non-binding MOU with a leading EPC firm to co-develop a commercial licensing package for its Hydrochemolytic™ Technology targeting chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste. The MOU defines stage-gated development, pre-engineered plant concepts and supports the FOAK industrial plant at Chemelot in the Netherlands.
1. MOU Agreement Details
Aduro Energy Inc., a subsidiary of Aduro Clean Technologies, has executed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with a top global EPC company to create a comprehensive commercial licensing package for Hydrochemolytic™ Technology. The MOU establishes a framework of stage-gated activities, detailed technical evaluations and pre-engineered plant concepts for chemical recycling of mixed plastic waste.
2. Licence Package Development
Under the agreement, both parties will collaborate on developing a fully defined Licence Package and associated Licence Business, covering marketing, pricing, delivery and support structures for HCT-based plastic recycling plants. Technical data from the Next Generation Process pilot and engineering insights will inform the design of modular, repeatable plants for future customers.
3. Commercialization and Deployment Pathway
The MOU aligns with Aduro’s scale-up pathway, supporting risk reduction and industrial deployment through a first-of-a-kind (FOAK) plant at Chemelot Industrial Park in the Netherlands. Combining Aduro’s chemistry expertise with the EPC’s project-delivery capabilities aims to accelerate global roll-out of HCT-based solutions and bolster Aduro’s go-to-market licensing strategy.
