Aecon attributed third-quarter revenue growth primarily to stronger utilities and nuclear activity. Operating profit increased to CAD 83.1 million from CAD 61.4 million, driven by higher construction volumes and improved margins. Marketing, general and administrative expenses rose to CAD 98.3 million from CAD 54.7 million, while the nine-month shareholder loss widened to CAD 73.1 million, primarily reflecting fair value adjustments to Preferred Shares of Aecon Utilities. Backlog reached a record CAD 14.56 billion, with industrial and nuclear projects driving the increase.
