AEHRAEHR

Aehr Test Systems secured an order for its Sonoma burn-in systems to test next-generation AI ASICs for a leading hyperscale customer, with deliveries expected in summer 2026. The customer forecasts a substantial increase in Sonoma purchases for current and next-gen AI chips starting in H2 2026 and extending into 2027.

1. Hyperscale Order Details

Aehr Test Systems announced that a leading hyperscale customer placed its first production burn-in order for Sonoma systems to validate next-generation AI ASICs under high stress. Deliveries are scheduled for summer 2026, marking the company’s entry into production testing for this new AI chip generation.

2. Expansion Forecast

The customer indicated that demand for Sonoma systems will ramp significantly as it scales production of its current-generation AI ASICs, forecasting a large expansion of orders in the second half of calendar 2026 and continuing through 2027 for both current and next-gen devices.

3. Insider Sale and Concentration Risk

Chairman Rhea Posedel sold $420,000 of shares two days after the announcement but retained over 97% of his holding, suggesting ongoing confidence. However, reliance on a single major customer and unguaranteed future expansions pose execution and concentration risks.
