AERAER

AerCap agreed to early return of 24 A320neo aircraft from Frontier Airlines, with lease expirations between two and eight years, to occur in Q2 2026. The transaction also includes 10 sale-leaseback deals for deliveries in 2028 and 2029, bolstering AerCap’s future leasing pipeline.

1. Non-Binding Fleet Optimization Agreement

AerCap entered a non-binding agreement with Frontier Airlines for the early return of 24 A320neo aircraft currently leased and scheduled to expire over the next two to eight years. These returns are slated for completion in the second quarter of 2026 and aim to realign Frontier’s fleet size.

2. Future Sale-Leaseback Transactions

Under the same agreement, AerCap will execute 10 sale-leaseback transactions with deliveries scheduled in 2028 and 2029. This commitment secures long-term leasing commitments and enhances AerCap’s order book visibility.

3. Strategic Benefits and Redeployment

AerCap plans to redeploy the returned A320neos to other customers or markets, leveraging its OEM relationships and engine leasing expertise. The deal reinforces its position as a leading global lessor by expanding future revenue streams and fleet utilization.
