AeroVironment is investing more than USD 30 million to expand manufacturing operations in Albuquerque, New Mexico, including facilities producing the LOCUST laser system.
Expansion aims to boost output of defense and space technologies, supporting scaled domestic production of directed-energy systems and space-grade components.
Project is expected to generate more than USD 670 million in economic impact over 10 years.
Plan includes creating more than 450 high-wage jobs.
