AeroVironment unit VideoRay joins AEVEX-led Navy mine countermeasure prototype team

VideoRay demonstrated an autonomous mine countermeasure remotely operated vehicle launched from an unmanned surface vessel, with remote, over-the-horizon operations. The work centers on Mission Specialist Defender, a modular underwater robotics platform for rapidly fieldable mine countermeasure missions in contested environments. VideoRay previously won a $92.6 million, five-year Navy contract for MK20 Defender production, sustainment and development.
