Aetna reports improved provider-payer trust in Q2 2026
CVS Health unit Aetna reported a Q2 2026 provider-payer trust score of 6.1, up from 5.4 in Q1.
The survey showed 52% of providers said payers deliver on promises, up 16 percentage points; 56% cited clearer coverage information, up 12 points.
Administrative burden remained the top provider challenge; 84% flagged patient records management or prior authorization as the biggest drivers.
More than 30% of respondents expect technology-enabled tools to save over an hour a day; 80% expect over 30 minutes.
Interoperability ranked as the top tech issue for 68% of providers; 29% want real-time patient data, with 47% expecting over 10 minutes saved per visit.
