- AFT, UFT and Microsoft announce ‘National AI Safety & Privacy Standard’ for schools to protect students, families and educators
- Microsoft - deal ensures tech cos cannot use student data to train AI, students can never be tracked, AI cannot make decisions without human oversight
- Microsoft - under agreement tech companies must give educators & parents transparency and plain-language answers about how their tools work
- Microsoft - US school districts can incorporate these protections directly into Microsoft customer agreements, making them contractually enforceable
- Microsoft - beginning Nov. 1, Microsoft will make protections offered in AI Safety & Privacy Standard available to every school district in US
