AGNC Investment Corp. posted Q2 2026 net income of $654 million, swinging from a $148 million loss in Q1; comprehensive income was $647 million.
Tangible net book value rose 2.4% to $8.58 per share from Q1, driving a 6.7% economic return on tangible common equity alongside $0.36 in dividends.
Net spread and dollar roll income slipped to $0.40 per share from $0.42 in Q1 as the annualized net interest spread narrowed 6 basis points to 2%.
Other gain swung to a $379 million gain from a $433 million loss in Q1, while other comprehensive loss was $7 million.
AGNC ended the quarter with a $97.2 billion portfolio and 7.4x tangible “at risk” leverage; management cited volatility tied to U.S.-Iran hostilities and Strait of Hormuz disruptions.
