Air France-KLM submitted a binding offer to Parpública to buy a 44.9% to 49.9% stake in TAP Air Portugal.
The proposal includes a long-term strategic plan for TAP, positioning Lisbon as the group’s Southern European hub.
Delta backs trans-Atlantic expansion plan
Delta Air Lines backed the bid, citing plans to expand trans-Atlantic connectivity if TAP joins the group.
The offer also outlines investment to expand MRO capacity in Portugal with TAP Maintenance & Engineering, including new facilities for next-generation aircraft.
