Air passenger demand slips 0.8% in August, IATA says
JETS•Global air passenger demand fell 0.8% in August compared with August 2025. International demand declined 0.9%, domestic demand fell 0.5%, and the load factor was 85.3%, down 1.1 percentage points.

Total demand, measured in revenue passenger kilometers, fell 0.8% year over year in August, while international demand declined 0.9%. Domestic demand fell 0.5% as capacity increased 0.7%; the load factor was 85.3%, down 1.1 percentage points.
