Air Products Q3 profit beats on higher on-site volumes
APD•Raised outlook for fiscal 2026
Air Products raised its fiscal 2026 full-year adjusted EPS guidance to $13.39-$13.49.
The company sees fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter adjusted EPS of $3.55-$3.65 and expects fiscal 2026 capital expenditures of about $3.5 billion.
Quarterly results beat estimates
Air Products and Chemicals Inc reported fiscal third-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $3.47, up 12% from a year earlier and above analyst expectations of $3.34.
Quarterly sales rose 5% year-over-year to $3.2 billion, matching analyst expectations.
The company also recorded a $2.9 billion charge for project exits, resulting in a large GAAP net loss. It reported a quarterly net loss of $1.44 billion, or $6.47 per share.
Higher volumes and pricing drove results
Air Products said higher on-site volumes, favorable currency and increased pricing drove adjusted operating income and EPS, partially offset by higher costs.
The company also cited electronics growth and new long-term supply agreements, including for semiconductor expansion in Taiwan, as supporting volume growth.
