Air Products to supply LNG-based air separation unit for Petronas Gas Berhad JV in Malaysia
APD•Air Products will design, build and operate Malaysia’s first LNG-based air separation unit for a Petronas Gas Berhad-led joint venture in Johor. The plant is expected to start up by early 2027 and produce more than 600 tonnes per day.

Air Products said it will design, build and operate the LNG-based air separation unit in Johor. The facility is expected to come online by early 2027 and produce more than 600 tonnes per day.
2. Market and energy
The plant will supply merchant markets in southern and central Malaysia. Air Products said it will use cold energy from LNG regasification to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
