Stellantis Adds Indiana-Made Mazda Transmission Production and Unveils $150 Billion-Market Pet Accessory Line
Aisin has begun producing Mazda’s six-speed automatic transmission at its ADI facility in Indiana, bolstering Stellantis’s North American supply capabilities and responsiveness. Stellantis’s Mopar unit launched Mopaw, a premium pet travel accessory line targeting the $150 billion U.S. pet market with carriers, kennels and protective gear.
1. Indiana Transmission Contract Manufacturing
Aisin began contract manufacturing Mazda’s six-speed automatic transmission at Aisin Drivetrain, Inc. in Crothersville Industrial Park, Indiana, leveraging its transmission manufacturing expertise. The facility, founded in 1996, produces components for Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Stellantis and Mazda, and will enhance Stellantis’s North American supply chain responsiveness.
2. Launch of Mopaw Pet Travel Accessories
Mopar introduced Mopaw, a premium line of vehicle-compatible pet accessories designed for the $150 billion U.S. pet travel market. Initial offerings include a back-seat latch-compatible pet carrier, folding kennel with tie-down straps, heavy-duty seat and door covers, and a branded tumbler and dog bowl, available through Stellantis dealerships.
