AITX CEO says ROAMEO speed bump video shows conservative throttle control in live deployment

Artificial Intelligence Technology Solutions issued a clarification on a viral video showing its ROAMEO autonomous patrol vehicle repeatedly attempting a speed bump.

CEO Steve Reinharz said the behavior reflected a conservative control strategy that progressively increases throttle when commanded movement is not achieved.

Reinharz said the throttle system is mainly tuned for flat surfaces, typical inclines, and smaller obstacles, requiring higher force for abrupt geometries.

He cited wide variation in US speed bump profiles, with some installations documented up to 7 inches, limiting one-size calibration.
