Akanda ends plans to pursue cannabis businesses
AKAN•Akanda said it will no longer pursue cannabis cultivation or other cannabis-related businesses and will focus on its First Towers & Fibers subsidiary and potentially other business targets.
1. Business shift
Akanda said it declined to make its next option payment under an agreement to purchase property in British Columbia, terminating its right to acquire or use the property. The company said it had not cultivated any product there.
