Alamos Gold cites prior-year impairment reversal as driver of Q3 2026 operating earnings decline
AGI•Alamos Gold attributed its Q3 2026 net earnings decline to USD 165.6 million mainly to the absence of a prior-year impairment reversal, while adjusted net earnings rose to USD 184 million. Revenue increased 10% to USD 510.4 million, and operating cash flow fell 18% to USD 216.3 million.
1. Quarterly results
Alamos Gold said third-quarter 2026 net earnings declined to USD 165.6 million, mainly because the prior-year period included an impairment reversal. Adjusted net earnings rose to USD 184 million from USD 155.5 million, supported by higher realized gold prices. Revenue increased 10% to USD 510.4 million as higher gold prices outweighed lower sales volumes at Young-Davidson and Mulatos District.
2. Costs and cash flow
All-in sustaining costs were USD 1,956 per ounce, reflecting inflation, lower grades, reduced mining rates at Young-Davidson and higher sustaining capital. Operating cash flow fell 18% to USD 216.3 million, primarily reflecting USD 86.2 million spent settling legacy Argonaut gold hedges early.
