Shares of carrier Alaska Air (ALK.N) were down about 2% at $44.49 in extended trading.

The company expects Q3 adjusted profit of up to $1 per share, compared with analysts' average estimate of $1.38 per share, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Alaska Air also logged a second-quarter adjusted loss of 92 cents per share, narrower than analysts' average estimate of a loss of 99 cents per share.
As of Tuesday's close, the stock was down about 10% year to date.
