Alaska Air Group announced long-term leases for four Boeing 737-800 converted freighters, expanding its dedicated cargo fleet to nine from five.
Aircraft are slated to enter service in the first half of 2027, targeting Alaska and Hawai'i routes to lift cargo reliability.
The move supports the Alaska Accelerate plan, with cargo positioned to generate USD 150 million in new annual profit.
