Albertsons restructures operations into four regions
Albertsons said it will reorganize its operations into four regions, down from 11 divisions, in an effort to speed decision-making and tighten accountability.
The regional structure will group local markets under California, West, South, and East to sharpen store-level execution and customer responsiveness.
Merchandising duties split between enterprise and local teams
The company said center-store merchandising will be centralized under an enterprise team, consolidating pricing, promotions, product strategy, and supplier management.
Fresh merchandising will remain with local markets. Albertsons said no store or district realignments are planned as part of the transition.
