1. Conference Participation

Alcoa will participate in the BMO 2026 Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference to engage with investors and outline strategic priorities for its metals and critical minerals business.

2. Pentagon Investment and Production Plan

The US Pentagon allocated $1.9 billion to bolster domestic gallium production, naming Alcoa as the sole publicly traded partner. Alcoa plans to produce 100 metric tons of gallium annually at its Australian refinery beginning in late 2026.

3. Market Risks and Pricing Dynamics

Gallium prices have surged to $1,722 per kilogram due to tight global supply. Potential Chinese supply increases, refinery delays or disappointing demand could push prices down to $700–800/kg, threatening project economics and margins.
