Alignment Health to expand Medicare Advantage plan into three new California counties for 2027
ALHC•Alignment Healthcare will expand into Kern, Kings and Tulare counties effective Jan. 1, 2027, bringing its California service area to 25 counties and more than 6.3 million Medicare beneficiaries.
1. California expansion
Alignment Healthcare will add Kern, Kings and Tulare counties to its Medicare Advantage service area on Jan. 1, 2027. The expanded area will cover 25 California counties and more than 6.3 million Medicare beneficiaries, based on CMS data.
2. Plans and providers
The 2027 California lineup will include 46 Medicare Advantage plans, with premiums as low as $0; members will still pay Medicare Part B. The network will add Hoag in Orange County through select plans, including a new $0-premium Platinum Preferred (HMO) option. Astrana Health will join the network across Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties, adding 2,000 primary-care providers.
