Alkermes starts Phase 2 trial of ALKS 7290 as add-on treatment for major depression
ALKS•Alkermes initiated a Phase 2 trial of ALKS 7290 as an add-on to antidepressants in about 180 adults with major depressive disorder. The six-week placebo-controlled study will primarily assess safety and tolerability and secondarily evaluate depression symptoms.

The study will include adults with or without excessive daytime sleepiness. It will primarily assess safety and tolerability, with a secondary evaluation of whether ALKS 7290 improves depression symptoms compared with placebo.
