Almonty Industries forms Rwanda tungsten joint venture, government takes 25% stake
ALM•Rwanda tungsten joint venture
Almonty Industries entered a binding agreement with Rwanda for a tungsten joint venture via Almonty Rwanda.
Rwanda will take a 25% stake in exchange for the Shyorongi exploration concession and a mineral processing license.
Almonty will retain 75% ownership; the platform targets near-term supply from Rwanda’s existing tungsten producers.
Planned activities include buying ore or tailings for export until a local collection and processing plant is built.
The venture also contemplates a mobile tailings processing unit, with a broader investment framework under discussion.
