Alpha and Omega Semiconductor's Q4 revenue falls less than expected
AOSL•Q1 outlook and segment drivers
The company expects first-quarter revenue of $176 million, plus or minus $10 million.
AOS said first-quarter GAAP gross margin should be 23.8% and non-GAAP gross margin 24.5%, both plus or minus 1 percentage point.
The company expects improved gross margins in the second half of 2026 on favorable product mix and pricing.
Key drivers for the quarter included:
- Advanced computing growth — strength in Advanced Computing, especially AI and server applications, drove Q4 results.
- Communications segment — growth was helped by new products ramping with a Tier 1 U.S. smartphone customer, according to CEO Stephen Chang.
- PC market softness — ongoing softness in the traditional PC market due to elevated memory pricing weighed on results.
Q4 revenue and loss beat estimates
Alpha and Omega Semiconductor's fiscal fourth-quarter revenue declined 3.5% year over year, beating analyst expectations.
Adjusted loss per share for fiscal Q4 also beat analyst expectations.
The power semiconductor supplier said strength in Advanced Computing and Communications offset softness in the PC market.
