Alvotech partners with LOTTE Biologics for New York biosimilar manufacturing supply
ALVO•Alvotech entered a long-term manufacturing partnership with LOTTE Biologics, which will make drug substance for multiple antibody biosimilars at its Syracuse, New York facility. The site has 40,000 liters of bioreactor capacity, and commercial supply depends on technology transfer, manufacturing qualification and regulatory approvals.
1. Manufacturing partnership
LOTTE Biologics will manufacture drug substance for multiple Alvotech antibody biosimilars at its Syracuse, New York facility for worldwide distribution. The partnership is intended to expand US-based production and global biosimilar supply.
2. Capacity and conditions
The facility has 40,000 liters of bioreactor capacity and will add to Alvotech’s manufacturing network to support demand over the next decade. Commercial supply depends on successful technology transfer, manufacturing qualification and required regulatory approvals.
