ALX Oncology says Phase 2 ASPEN-06 study shows 40.3% response rate for evorpacept combo
ALXO•ALX Oncology said its evorpacept combination delivered a 40.3% response rate in the Phase 2 ASPEN-06 study of previously treated HER2-positive gastric cancer. The company will not pursue a U.S. registrational Phase 3 path for the program and kept its mid-2027 target for a topline readout from 80 patients in ASPEN-09-Breast.
1. ASPEN-06 findings
ALX Oncology reported previously published Phase 2 ASPEN-06 data for evorpacept in previously treated HER2-positive gastric cancer. The regimen delivered stronger tumor shrinkage and longer-lasting benefit than standard therapy, with the largest gains in a biomarker-defined subgroup.
2. Development plans
The findings supported CD47 expression as a potential patient-selection marker. ALX Oncology chose not to pursue a U.S. registrational Phase 3 path in gastric cancer, shifting focus toward potential partnerships for the program.
3. Breast trial target
Management kept its mid-2027 target for a topline readout from 80 patients in the ongoing Phase 2 ASPEN-09-Breast trial.
