1. Amazon Acquires Rivr Robotics Startup

Amazon closed an undisclosed deal to acquire Rivr, a Zurich-based startup that developed a stair-climbing delivery robot valued at $100 million following a $25 million seed round. The acquisition will integrate Rivr’s autonomous bots into Amazon’s doorstep delivery network and support scaling beyond its pilot programs.

2. Hyperscaler AI Infrastructure Spending and Yotta IPO

Amazon joins peers planning over $100 billion in AI infrastructure capex as part of a broader $650 billion hyperscaler investment wave. In India, Yotta Data Services is targeting a $4 billion valuation and $500–$600 million pre-IPO fundraising while deploying Nvidia H100 and B200 chips, with B300 units set to go live by August under its $2 billion expansion plan.
