Amazon expanded AWS HealthOmics to the Asia Pacific (Tokyo) Region, extending its managed genomics workflow service to Japan.
The launch targets clinical diagnostics, drug discovery, and population genomics workloads that require in-country data residency.
AWS positioned the service as HIPAA-eligible and compliant with Japan’s ISMAP security assessment program.
Eisai began validating the platform, aiming to speed genomic analysis while simplifying management of complex bioinformatics workflows.
