Amazon AWS uses reclaimed water for data center cooling at Indonesia’s GIIC industrial park
AMZN•AWS begins using reclaimed wastewater at GIIC
- Amazon.com Inc. tenant AWS began using reclaimed wastewater for data center cooling at GIIC industrial estate in West Java.
- The move supports Amazon’s goal to return more water than it uses in operations to communities by 2030; AWS said it is 75% complete.
- GIIC’s recycled water plant has 8,000 cubic meters per day capacity and targets reuse of about 60% of treated wastewater effluent.
