Amazon Expands AWS Multicloud Connectivity with Oracle and Adds 430MW in Australia
Amazon’s AWS partnership with Oracle now includes high-performance connectivity with OCI to streamline multicloud operations and modernize AI workloads. Amazon Australia inked nine PPAs adding 430MW of renewable generation, boosting its national clean energy capacity to nearly 1GW in support of its net-zero 2040 goal.
1. AWS Multicloud Partnership
Amazon Web Services and Oracle will deliver high-performance connectivity between AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, enabling enterprises to operate applications and transfer data seamlessly across both platforms with reduced complexity and support for AI workloads modernization.
2. Australian Renewable Energy Expansion
Amazon Australia signed nine power purchase agreements totaling 430MW—covering wind, utility-scale solar-battery hybrids, distributed solar projects and a battery installation at Mokoan Solar Farm—bringing its carbon-free capacity to nearly 1GW, its largest annual renewable investment and enough to power over 500,000 households towards its net-zero 2040 goal.
