1. EU AI Dominance Investigation

Teresa Ribera, the European Commission’s antitrust chief, will meet Amazon CEO Andy Jassy in San Francisco to address investigations into AI platform dominance and service prioritization. The Commission is examining the entire AI stack—including chatbots, training data and cloud infrastructure—over concerns that dominant providers could favor their own AI offerings and exclude competitors.

2. AWS Develops AI Agents for Automation

AWS is building AI agents to automate technical sales and business development tasks previously handled by hundreds of specialists. These agents will aggregate knowledge across AWS, allowing employees to focus on the most complex, high-value customer challenges while potentially reducing headcount in areas such as cybersecurity and server networking.
