Amazon India adds seasonal jobs ahead of festive shopping period
Amazon.com Inc. created more than 160,000 seasonal jobs across India ahead of the festive shopping period.
Roles span fulfillment, sortation, logistics, picking, packing, shipping and delivery across 400 cities to support e-commerce and quick commerce volumes.
Hiring adds capacity to a network serving 1,700,000 sellers, including facilities across 15 states and sortation centers in 19 states.
Expansion includes access to standard safety, welfare and social security benefits for seasonal staff, with onboarding largely completed.
