Amazon launches accelerator to speed adoption of low-carbon technologies
AMZN•Amazon launched a sustainability accelerator to evaluate climate technologies for potential adoption across its businesses. Applications open in January 2027, and the program supports Amazon’s goal of net-zero carbon emissions across global operations by 2040.
1. Technology priorities
The Sustainability Deep Tech Accelerator brings together Amazon Devices, AWS and Amazon Private Brands, expanding a Devices accelerator launched in 2025. It will focus on low-carbon materials and manufacturing, energy efficiency, and circularity. Participation requires no equity stake; technologies selected for integration may lead to licensing, supply agreements or other commercial arrangements.
