Amazon Leo signs deal with Herotel for South Africa launch
Amazon Leo signed an agreement with Herotel to support evry, a satellite internet service targeting South Africa, with commercial launch expected in 2027.
The deal marks Amazon Leo’s first customer agreement in Africa, expanding its satellite connectivity footprint into a new region.
Herotel serves more than 350,000 active customers across over 550 towns, focusing on rural areas where terrestrial networks are costly.
