Amazon opens UK delivery station targeting zero-carbon certification

The facility is expected to create around 100 jobs and is part of Amazon’s GBP 40 billion UK investment program for 2025-2027. Lower-carbon materials and local supply chains are expected to keep construction-related emissions at least 20% below previous design standards. Rooftop solar panels will power daytime operations, while water-saving fixtures are expected to reduce consumption by approximately 20% versus conventional designs.
