Amazon plans to invest more than EUR 16 billion in Germany in 2027 to expand its technology infrastructure and logistics. The total includes EUR 4.8 billion to expand the AWS Europe (Frankfurt) Region’s cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure.
2. Research and logistics
A second robotics and AI research laboratory will open in Berlin, doubling Amazon’s research presence in the city and creating specialized jobs. Previously announced logistics projects will create more than 3,000 additional jobs, while modernization at several existing facilities will continue through 2028.
